As Tapibel’s independent agent for southeastern Europe, Hans has spent twenty years introducing the brand to a region that most Belgian carpet manufacturers have never ventured into. Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania. These are his countries, as he puts it, and he knows them well.
We sat down with Hans to talk about what it takes to represent a Belgian family business in the Balkans, why trust matters more than the product range, and what customers in southeastern Europe are really looking for.
